A series of fully decodable synthetic phonics books that follow the Letters and Sounds sequence now being used by many schools. These bright, engaging books can be used very effectively alongside any good phonic reading scheme.

Dandelion Launchers
These lovely high quality books are proving to be very popular with parents and teachers alike. They will give your child the best start in reading and can be used with any phonic programme to give confidence in blending sounds to read words.

Each of these books introduces a few letters/phonemes at a time, offering the beginner reader one line of text on each page. There are 4 books at each level and each level introduces new sounds.

Dandelion Readers complement and follow on from the Dandelion Launcher series, and present highly decodable texts that children can read by sounding out and blending. These lovely high quality books and accompanying activites can support any phonics programme.

With minimal sight words and text on a cream background to make it reader friendly, these motivating stories have appealing characters and imaginative illustrations. Each book includes a games page to stimulate further reading practice.

Photocopiable Workbooks accompany each level, providing reading, writing and spelling activities linked to the books read.

Totem Series / Talisman Series
Ideal for older readers who have gaps in their phonic knowledge (interest age 8-14).

DUE TO BE PUBLISHED AUTUMN 2010 - Totem Series is an exciting fresh start for older pupils covering the essential phonic foundations that a 'catch-up' reader will need. The series begins at CVC (consonant/vowel/consonant) level and builds up (following Phases 2, 3, 4 and 5 of the 'Letters and Sounds programme) towards the Talisman Series.

Talisman Series follows on from the Totem Series. The series introduces the vowel sounds and their alternative spellings (following Phase 5 of the ‘Letters and Sounds’ programme).

Read Write Inc. decodable books
Read Write Inc. provides a systematic synthetic phonics reading programme for primary school children and has been used with great success to support children of all ages who have been designated as dyslexic.

The Read Write Inc. Phonics storybooks and non-fiction books provide structured practice in decoding words and reading through phonics. Each set of books is carefully graded so that children can read them with confidence. These books are suitable for Phase 3 to 5 in the 'Letters and Sounds' programme now used in many schools.

The storybooks have been published both in black and white and in colour versions. There is also a set of storybooks and a Handbook written especially for parents to help their children at home.

Jolly Phonics decodable books
Jolly Phonics provides a systematic synthetic phonics reading programme for children aged 3 to 6.

The Read and See books are ideal first reading books - all have regular words that can be worked out by sounding and blending.

There are 4 levels of Jolly Phonics readers, and there is a non-fiction set at each level, covering a wide range of subjects. The introduction of letter-sound correspondences follows the Jolly Phonics Handbook, which introduces digraphs earlier than many code-based programmes. These books can be introduced to children who have been taught one spelling for each of the 43 phonemes, building on skills already learnt and developing understanding and confidence, encouraging children to read for pleasure.
