26 small laminated, dry-wipe cards with letters a - z on the front (in cursive style font) and picture on the back. 

The front of each card shows the starting point and direction for the correct formation of each letter (in cursive style showing entry and exit strokes).

The reverse shows a corresponding image relating to the initial sound of each letter, beautifully drawn by children's illustrator Ann Scott.
